All the critics reviewing The Dark Knight always mentions Heath Ledger’s mesmerizing and brilliant performance (I’m saying from just watching the trailer). It is, indeed, sad that the great actor isn’t here to accept all the acclaim he is receiving for his final role in a movie.
I think Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker is much better than Jack Nicholson. The cackle, the facial expression, –everything is much more impressive that Jack’s. This might be Ledger’s best movie from what I’ve read, but I’ve always thought he was a promising star even during his 10 Things I Hate About You days.
He started out with more commercial films, then became serious, and now he is one of the better actors for the past few years.
